Car AC Regas

A car air conditioning system uses refrigerant to produce cool air. If refrigerant levels are low, the system may not cool the cabin effectively.

An AC regas can restore the refrigerant level when this is the appropriate solution. However, if the system has lost refrigerant because of a leak or another fault, simply adding refrigerant may not solve the underlying problem.

That's why we recommend assessing the system rather than assuming every air conditioning problem needs a regas.

Our team can help determine what your vehicle's air conditioning system needs and explain the available repair options.

Air Conditioning Checks & Diagnosis

When you bring your vehicle to Absolute Motors, we'll first look at the symptoms you're experiencing and inspect the relevant parts of the system.

Depending on the issue, this may involve checking the system's operation, airflow, cooling performance and relevant components.

We'll explain what we've found and let you know what needs attention before carrying out repairs.

Our aim is simple: find the problem, explain it clearly and get your air conditioning working properly again.

01

Why is my car AC blowing warm air?

Warm air can be caused by several issues, including low refrigerant, leaks, compressor problems, condenser faults, cooling fan issues or electrical problems. A proper inspection is needed to determine the cause.

02

Does my car just need an AC regas?

Not necessarily. Low refrigerant can affect cooling, but a low refrigerant level may indicate a leak. Diagnosing the system first helps determine whether a regas or another repair is required.

03

How often should car air conditioning be serviced?

There isn't one service interval that applies to every vehicle. Your vehicle manufacturer's recommendations, system condition and usage can all affect servicing requirements.

04

Why does my car air conditioning smell?

Unpleasant smells can be associated with the HVAC system, including a dirty cabin filter, moisture or contamination around components such as the evaporator. The cause should be identified rather than simply masking the smell.
